The connected name I found to the artist is Mijat Mijatovic on LinkedIn. He also has an Instagram, so please check out this amazing character designer and art director!

12-19-2025 | Updated Merchandise Foreign with finally adding all of the missing Dutch and English pages of the book, Het kerstavontuur van Basil Muis (The Great Mouse Detective: The Christmas Adventure). Originally added in December of 2012, the pages got deleted and haven't been restored until now. I translated the English pages with help from good friends. Thank you to all who made the book possible in the past, enjoy the book in the present, look forward to it in the future, and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

12-12-2025 | "The Game's Afoot!" Updated the Lorcana section at the Games page with the card revealed back in October: LP Basil - The Game's Afoot! - Whispers in the Well 198/204 (10). Since TGA is a popular phrase in other worlds, I added a nod to the title also at Miscellaneous under 'The Game's Afoot Sightings' section, which also has two nods to the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi) uttering the line in Doctor Who Titan Comic issues!

Added to the Christmas Ornaments section of Merchandise is my own photo and artwork of The Great Mouse Detective Basil Legacy Sketchbook Collection 2021. The best credit I could give for now is it was found at Pinterest by Martin Pasqualini.

 

11-28-2025 | Added to Merchandise, photos and info of Disney Journal and Pen Set - Reigning Cats and Dogs - Disney Cats, Disney Women's Leggings - Reigning Cats and Dogs - Disney Cats, and Disney Women's Rain Jacket - Reigning Cats and Dogs. Among the cats featured is Felicia, Ratigan's sassy feline, from The Great Mouse Detective.

 

11-21-2025 | Happy Birthday to Ruben Procopio! He was the Key Assistant Animator on The Great Mouse Detective. This week I shared a GIF (at Animation GIFs) of the scene he worked on (when Basil follows a set of footprints in the toy shop) and added to Contemporary Cast & Crew a photo from my collection during the San Diego Comic Con 2009.

11-07-2025 | Updated the Odds and Ends section of the Miscellaneous photo page with a very creative work featuring Ratigan's List (by KOMakesThings). For National Fountain Pen Day (first Friday in November), this was pretty clever!

 

10-31-2025 | Watch out, here he comes! Added to Animation GIFs I chose the epic sequence of Ratigan racing through the clock tower's cogs in pursuit of Basil and Olivia. It's Halloween, I had to add this for today!

10-24-2025 | Updated the Easter Eggs section of Miscellaneous photos with a Lost and Found Basil of Baker Street sticker. Someone posted on Reddit that they were at the Disneyland Resort Lost and Found area of the theme park and saw this sticker. Amused by it, they snapped a photo!

 

10-17-2025 | Updated Games at the Lorcana section with a new card revealed on the 16th (Release date is November 7th): Basil – Tenacious Mouse. Illustrated by Federico M. Cugliari.

 

10-10-2025 | Tis the season to be spooky! Updated Apparel at the Merchandise page with The Great Mouse Detective Comfort Color Spooky Shirt, Fall Season Trip Shirt, Halloween Party Tee (by Mynilo). It features the characters in a pumpkin patch wearing skeleton costumes. It reminded me of the 1929 Walt Disney Silly Symphony, "The Skeleton Dance"!

09-26-2025 | Updated the Pins section of Merchandise 2 with Basil & Olivia 25th Anniversary Mystery Pin Collection (courtesy of Pin & Pop). This pin features Basil of Baker Street and Olivia Flaversham from The Great Mouse Detective. Olivia is riding on the detective’s shoulder. The pin is a 4000 Limited Edition release that was available only at Walt Disney World, but can now be found online for purchase.

It is the same design as the Flap Wallet with Basil of Baker Street, Dr Dawson, and Olivia Flaversham. Professor Ratigan and Toby, the Basset Hound, are on the side pockets.
