06-13-2025 | The world lost an incredible composer and music legend on June 14, 1994. To honor the master and legacy of Henry Mancini, I added a link to the Music Videos page called The Great Mouse Detective | Soundtrack Suite (Henry Mancini) by Soundtrack Fred. I also added a short clip to the Featurette page when Mr Mancini talks about working on the film, from the featurette: "The Making of The Great Mouse Detective."
06-06-2025 | Added to the Scenes page for National Eyewear Day (June 6th), besides Hiram Flaversham and Mrs Judson, there were a few scenes of characters having to wear glasses such as for reading: Dr Dawson looking at Olivia's newspaper clipping, Queen Mousetoria examining the robot of herself, and Professor Ratigan reading off a long list of demands to his audience at Buckingham Palace.

05-02-2025 | Happy Birthday to fellow Basilian, Diane N. Tran! In celebration, I shared one of my art favorites of hers at the Off Site section of the Fan Art page: Breaking in a New Briar. I hope she is having a great day! This week I also updated the Apparel section of Merchandise with Vintage Disney The Great Mouse Detective shirt by JadeClothingStore (on Etsy). It's a simple yet adorable pose of the trio: Basil, Dr Dawson, and Olivia, with vibrant colors and lettering!

04-25-2025 | Happy Birthday, Ron Clements, one of the four directors to "Basil"! Hope he's having a great day so far. This week I updated the Professionals page with John Lhotka's brilliant art piece, "Basil Gave a Sketch of the Events." The concept of Basil and Dr. Dawson (with Olivia present) seated on a train is a homage to Sidney Paget's iconic illustration from the Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson story, "The Adventures of Silver Blaze."
